Reviews for Second Hand Rose.
*** Fast Paced Chills.
A great premise which gave me reminders of Salem's Lot and the Wicker Man. The plot moves very quickly, sometimes I would have liked a little more time to help build the atmosphere, but I did enjoy the story and the characters.
I love horror stories set in small towns and Friendship felt like another character in the story and was brought to life with introducing us to some of the other residents and businesses in the town.
An enjoyable read for anyone searching for something quick and packed with action and chilling moments - the part with the doctor in the morgue and what happens to him will stay with me for a while!
I look forward to a sequel!
**** Loved the Spooky gory short story
This was something different from anything I’ve ever read. I loved it! A spooky gory read with cool twists.
I read this in one go. It was an easy read and really drew you into the story and was interesting right through. I loved Jake's character and sensed he was Abigail’s protector. Very well written, and will definitely be looking for more books from this author.
Reviews for Where is all the grass going?
***** So Much Fun!
As a mom, I found this charming story to be the perfect blend of humor, adventure, and heart. The quirky premise of dogs solving the mystery of disappearing grass was refreshing and unique. Jake (AKA Hero #1) and Sammy (AKA Hero #2) were clever and adorable. The narrator's voice is incorporated into the story ("Well, reader," etc.), adding to the whimsical vibe. The colorful images, like newspaper articles and ID cards for the dogs, will keep younger readers engaged. Kids who love dogs and other animals will especially enjoy this wholesome read.
*****Fun and Original!
Jake and Sammy are the best sleuth/spy team I've met this year. Where Is All The Grass Going? follows several different teams of animals as they put together an undercover organization to help other animals, then recruit more and more pets to join as agents. I like that both Sammy and Jake have strengths and weaknesses and play into them to bolster each other. And with a title like that and an opening describing grass just disappearing, it'll keep you hooked through the last page.
